Hey I'm Lindsey!

I began my career in the beauty industry in 2004 when I graduated from Denham Springs Beauty College in Louisiana. After school, I started working behind the chair at The Cutting Edge in Baton Rouge where I learned many skills and began to build a clientele.

After a few years of working for different employers, I decided to take the leap of faith and become self-employed, eventually co-owning a salon named 'I Candy the Salon'.

I co-owned this salon for 12 years but life took me in a different direction and I moved my business from Baton Rouge to Denham Springs.

I am incredibly motivated to build my business in this new space. I love education in my industry as well as business and marketing.

I am a Louisiana native for 40 years, a mother of two beautiful children, a wife of 15 years, and a dog mom too. I'm addicted to coffee and I am not ashamed of it! I enjoy a great cup of coffee any time of the day.

Coffee is my love language.

On the weekends, I love to relax and have a glass of wine, binge on Netflix or catch up with my girlfriends at lunch or a mid-afternoon coffee break. See, I told you I love coffee!

I'm an extrovert and I thrive in a social setting. I love to listen to true crime podcasts and watch documentaries about crime as well. I love to laugh, sometimes at myself as it reminds me to not take life too seriously.  I belong to a local gym where I have really found my tribe of ladies who support and love one another.

I recently launched a blog named Cosmetology Grad School where I encourage, support, and educate newly licensed stylists in navigating their new careers. I help them make wise business decisions regarding the beauty industry through my story of resilience and how I became the stylist that I am today. My hope is that if I can help just one stylist, then I will be happy.
